Adrienne Horn

Adrienne has served as a consultant to museums for the past thirty years. She has a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Education from San Francisco State University and non-profit management certification from Harvard University. She has extensive experience in leading project teams in the areas of organizational development, strategic planning, educational program planning and evaluation for youth and adults, market analysis, governance, and project management. Adrienne is particularly well known in the museum field, having served on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Museums as both a director and executive committee member, and President of the Western Museums Association. She is adept at analyzing operational issues so that successful program and business strategies can be planned.


Stephen Horn, II

Steve has thirty-five years of experience in the financial services industry including planning, marketing, personnel development and financial analysis. He brings his background as a CEO and COO from the corporate world to assist museums in developing the business side of the organization. Steve has worked with a variety of museums in planning and evaluation of programs and services for the public. Steve, who has a B.A. degree with honors from the University of California at Berkeley in English and Political Science, is also the author of a number of textbooks. He has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Golden Gate University and the Insurance Educational Association in San Francisco.


Emily Cohen

Emily has been a member of the MMC team for ten years. Client projects have included strategic planning, management audits, executive search, and program evaluation and analysis for a wide variety of museums and cultural organizations. Emily’s background also includes serving for two years as the Development Director of an award-winning youth development agency in San Francisco. Earlier in her career, she worked at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art assisting the Director and the Board of Trustees in coordinating programs and daily operations. Emily has a B.A in Art from Pomona College and an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University.


Katie Sevier

Katie has over ten years of experience in nonprofit and cultural organizations, including museums, government arts agencies, symphonies, and theaters. Her experience includes seven years as a development officer in the performing arts and consulting work that includes financial and organizational analysis, evaluation and strategic planning for arts organizations. Katie has a B.A. in Art History and Political Science from Wellesley College and an M.A. in Public Policy from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy, where she concentrated in nonprofit management and cultural policy.
